HOW TO CUSTOMIZE HOME BUTTON IN BLOGGER


A Home button is essential in blogging because it allows readers to navigate directly to the main page easily and quickly. It is also very helpful, especially if a reader is finishing a long post and wants to browse other entries on your main blog page.

Home button at cross-column pages: 

1) Copy the link of your Blog's Home Page. 
2) Open "Layout". 
3) Click "edit". 
4) Click "+add external link". 
5) Write "HOME" in the page title box. 
6) Paste the link you copied from step 1 in the web address box. 
7) Click "Save link", then view your blog. 


Home button text: 

1) Copy the link of your Blog's Home Page. 
2) Click "New Post", then "Compose". 
3) Type the word "Home". 
4) Highlight "Home" and click "Change text background color" (optional).  
5) Click "insert link", paste the link you copied from Step 1, check the "Web address box", and uncheck the "Open this link in a new window" box, then click "Ok". 
6) Click "HTML", control A the content of the HTML and copy, then save your work in the draft (Just in case you need it later).
7) Go to "Layout" and click "Add a Gadget". 
8) Choose "Javascript", then paste the HTML you copied from step 6 in the "Content box". 
9) Do not write anything in the "Title box". Check the "Show HTML/Javacript" box, then Save. 
10) Drag the new sidebar at the bottom (in the attribution section to be specific). 
11) Save your new arrangement, then view the blog. 


Home button photo or logo: 
 
1) Upload your customized home button photo or logo.  
2) Copy the link of your Blog's Home Page. 
3) Click your home button photo. 
4) Click "insert link", paste the link you copied from Step 2, check the "Web address box", and uncheck the "Open this link in a new window" box, then click "Ok". 
5) Click "HTML", locate the height and width at the bottom of your HTML then decrease the size of your photo (mine is from "820" to "50"). 
6) Control A the content of the HTML and copy, then save your work in the draft (Just in case you need it later). 
7) Go to "Layout" and click "Add a Gadget". 
8) Choose "Javascript", then paste the HTML you copied from step 6 in the "Content box". 
9) Do not write anything in the "Title box". Check the "Show HTML/Javacript" box, then Save. 
10) Drag the new sidebar at the bottom (in the attribution section to be specific). 
11) Save your new arrangement, then view the blog.
